I've seen a lot of other pages with tutorials on how to move the date under the post title. They all involved directly altering your template. And exactly none of them worked for me. I'm thinking that those posts were before Blogger did it's big design change. Either that or I screwed up every time I followed their directions. That's a ton of screwing up. Regardless, I found another, simpler way to accomplish the same thing. Ready? Let's do it.
1) Login to Your Blogger Account
2) Click Layout
 |
Choose Layout from the menu
on the left side of your screen |
3) Click Edit
 |
| At the bottom of the "Main" window, click edit |
4) Uncheck Date
 |
| Uncheck the first date option |
5) Check the Second Date Option
 |
| Make sure the second date option is checked. |
- Tip: Your blog will likely have "at" in the box before the date. I didn't like the way that looked, so I changed it to spaces. You will notice the box isn't blank in the image. It says, " ". The gobbletygook is "escaped code". When working on a website/blog, if you type a character that is used for coding, it will trigger HTML and stuff goes wonky. Or in this case, HTML doesn't use spaces, so they're completely ignored. Here is a link to an HTML/escaped characters converter, if you're interested.
6) Drag the Second Date Option Under Post Title
 |
Scroll down to the bottom of the window.
Click and drag the date under the post title. |
7) Click Save
You're done! YeeHaw! It took a million times longer to figure this out than it did to actually do it.
As always, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please bring them up in the comments below. I'll be more than happy to address them. Thank you.
